Where To Buy Archery Equipment In The Philippines
Buying archery equipment in the Philippines is more accessible nowadays compared to, let’s say, a decade ago. There are several sellers available and some of them are on popular shopping sites such as Lazada and Shopee.
However, there are still a lot of shopping scams and if you are a beginner, you might fall for their trap.
That is why I have the best place to buy archery equipment here in the Philippines. Some of these online shops also have a physical store you can visit.
Archery stores in the Philippines
Benel Archery
Benel Archery is the most popular archery store in the Philippines. It carries everything you need ranging from recurve bows, compound bows, arrows, and other accessories. This store is the first one that comes to mind whenever you ask an archer about the best place to buy archery equipment in the Philippines.
It is located on Calbayog Street, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, making it accessible to many people. This shop is near the MRT Edsa Shaw Boulevard Station and is reachable by public transportation.
If you are from the province, Benel has a Lazada online store. You may also send them a message on Facebook to inquire.
Moreover, Earl Benjamin Yap, a member of the Philippine National Team runs Benel Archery so you know that you are in good hands.
Benel also offers archery lessons.
Pros
- Wide range of products
- Accessible physical store
- Has online presence
- Regular archery tournaments
- Run by an experienced archer
- Full service and maintenance offered
Cons
- Lazada store has an incomplete catalog
- Facebook inquiry is unresponsive at times
So hear me out with the cons. The new website is up and looks better than before. It still lacks some features though such as a full shop with its complete catalog. I’ll keep you updated if it gets better in time.
Now, it would have been nicer if the Lazada store has a complete catalog. I inquired about a product on their Facebook page and it was available. After that, I visited the Lazada store to see if it is available there for easy checkout. Unfortunately, it is not
Besides Lazada, there is no way to know the product prices. Its social media account posts products every now and then but, the prices are not included. There are bundle posts with prices though.
Lastly, there were instances wherein I was left hanging on our Facebook inquiry but, to be fair, that was several years ago. Our recent experiences were more pleasant so kudos to the team.
All in all, I would still recommend buying your first archery equipment at Benel since they have a wide range of products. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, they have a recommendation for you.
Island Archery
Island Archery is an online archery store based in Cebu. Their website is simple with a guide on how to order.
The bundles are priced better than individual parts and you might even get a discount if you negotiate well enough.
Island Archery also carries foreign brands such as Kinetic and Stark. That is a plus if you are looking for an affordable and reliable setup. Premium brands such as Hoyt, Win and Win, and Bear Archery are also available.
What I like about Island Archery is its transparent pricing. Browse its site and you will see the bundles and individual riser prices. There are prices for limbs and sights too.
Too bad, I could not find pricing for other accessories such as finger tabs, arm guards, or stabilizers. They are on the right track with their transparent pricing though.
Pros
- Wide range of products
- Great online store presence
- Transparent product catalog
- Responsive Facebook page
Cons
- No Lazada or Shopee store
- No physical store (that I know of, update us if you have an idea)
Let’s talk about the cons.
Filipinos are all about online shopping so having a Lazada or Shopee store is a huge plus for buyers. I am not sure how commissions work on both online platforms so that might be one of the reasons why they opted out of these two stores.
I think Island Archery has no physical store yet. However, the owner also conducts training so you might be able to test out some items on the range.
Better yet, send them a message to meet or talk to the owner, he’s a cool guy.
Happy Archers Archery
Happy Archers Archery is another local store in the Philippines where you can buy your archery equipment.
This store carries entry-level to midrange products. However, you cannot find Hoyt, W&W, and other mainstream brands here as it mainly carries Sanlida, Decut, Topoint, Junxing, and other Chinese products.
What I love about Happy Archers is you can customize your carbon arrows based on your need. I have mates who use their Super Carbon arrows and they are satisfied with it.
Moreover, the Bulacan-based store is present in Lazada and Shopee. You can visit them online for the updated pricing. Its social media is rarely updated but, its online shops are always up to date.
If you love to check the items physically, you can drop by their store in Bulacan. Just book an appointment on their Facebook page first.
Pros
- Affordable products
- Great online store presence through Lazada and Shopee
- Responsive page
- Physical store available
Cons
- Limited brands available (mostly Chinese brands)
There are not many cons really when it comes to Happy Archers. There are mixed reviews on some of the products it carries but, that is inevitable for any business.
Some of the Chinese brands they carry are a little bit controversial (that is another topic though). Ultimately, Happy Archers is a great place to shop if you are looking for affordable archery accessories.
Archery Products | Facebook Page
If you are interested to buy archery equipment in the Philippines, Facebook is a great start since archery stores often have a selling page there. This is how I found out about Archery Products.
I was casually scrolling the feed and I saw the page owned by Joann Chan Tabanag – a veteran player of the Philippine national team.
Archery Products, as generic as it sounds, have a lot in store ranging from branded risers to generic shooting accessories. This page sells products from Fivics, Krossen, Hoyt, and Wiawis. It is a mix of high-end and entry-level archery equipment similar to Benel.
Unfortunately, the product prices are not as readily available. Sending a message through the page is the best bet for a quotation.
What’s good though is you can inquire and ask for the best setup based on your experience and knowledge. With a good archery coach handling the business, you are in good care.
Pros
- Reasonable price
- Entry-level to high-end products
- Fairly active Facebook page
Cons
- Product prices not available outright
- No physical store (you can meet at the range)
Alternative Sporting Services
Alternative Sporting Services is a UK-based site that ships worldwide. Their prices are often more affordable than other stores and it has everything you need for archery. You still need to account for the shipping cost though.
This site might look dated, but ordering here is as easy as buying from Lazada or Shopee.
However, only order here if you are willing to wait since it might take at least two weeks, or a month before your item will arrive. Orders of more than 10,000php will also have additional customs tax.
I suggest getting small items such as finger tabs or recurve sights here. Basically, anything that will fall under 10k to avoid paying additional customs tax. Just to add, I recently got my Shibuya Ultima recurve rest here.
Also, always choose a shipping method with tracking included. It’s one way to gauge the timeframe of your delivery. You might still drop by the post office to pick up your delivery too.
Lastly, I suggest using PayPal as your payment method. This is to safeguard yourself in case your items do not arrive.
Lancaster Archery
Lancaster Archery is the largest archery retailer in the US. So why am I including it here?
The abundance of freight forwarding services in the country makes it easier to purchase through them. You may opt for BuyandShip, Myshippingcart, or Johnny Air Cargo as your freight forwarder and they will deliver your items to your doorstep.
Lancaster has everything you need including all the mainstream brands. The prices are competitive too and you might save some money buying here than locally.
Like AlternativeSS, you need to exert more patience since it will take a while before your items will arrive here in the country.
Where is the best place to buy archery equipment in the Philippines?
Benel Archery is already the staple store in the country when it comes to archery equipment. If it is not available at Benel, then that is the cue to check out other stores.
This store has a wide range of products and it even has an indoor range to test the setup. So there, Benel over other stores at the moment. Yes, at the moment. As much as I want to hype-up other stores, they still need a lot of work to do to become the household name in buying archery equipment in the Philippines.
However, I would like to see some competition. Who doesn’t right? In the end, competition is good for us consumers.
