Geologic Club 900 Recurve Sight Review

Geologic is Decathlon’s archery brand. Its archery products might be a hit or miss but, sometimes there is value for money products such as the Geologic Club 900 recurve bow, which I reviewed previously.

Now, here is my Geologic Club 900 Recurve Sight review. Find out why it could be your next recurve sight.

Before that, if you’re new to archery, you might be wondering what a recurve sight is and why it matters. Well, imagine you’re trying to hit a target far away – the smaller the target, the tougher it gets.

That’s where a recurve sight like the Club 900 comes in. It’s like having a set of super clear glasses for your bow. This nifty tool helps you aim more accurately by giving you a precise view of the target. It’s like having a secret helper that boosts your chances of hitting that bullseye.

With that said, let’s get started.

Design

Now, let’s talk about the design of the Geologic Club 900 Archery Bow Sight. One thing that immediately caught my attention is its adaptability. It’s like a chameleon of sights because it works perfectly for both right-handers and left-handers.

No need to worry about whether it’s a fit for your dominant hand – it’s got you covered either way. Plus, the sight itself is on the longer side, measuring a solid 24.5 cm. This extra length provides a better scope for seeing your target.

When you’re aiming for those tricky spots, this sight definitely gives you an edge by offering a clear and unobstructed view.

However, if you love color-coordinating your recurve setup, you are out of luck. The Club 900 sight only comes in black.

In addition, the Geologic Club 900 recurve sight is similar to the WNS SJA-50 long sight. Just take a look at them closely and the similarities are uncanny.

Features

Moving on to the features, the Geologic Club 900 Archery Bow Sight packs a punch with its adjustability. This is where the magic happens.

The sight offers micro-metric adjustments, which basically means you can make really tiny changes both vertically and horizontally. Imagine you’re trying to thread a needle – those tiny adjustments can be the difference between threading it perfectly and missing completely.

If you’re shooting with an ILF recurve bow, this sight is like a match made in archery heaven. The compatibility is spot-on. All you have to do is to screw it in, and you are good to go.

Performance

Let’s chat about how this sight performs out in the field. When I’m aiming and shooting, the Geologic Club 900 Archery Bow Sight really shines. The micro-metric adjustments are great for the needed adjustments. It’s like fine-tuning a musical instrument – you can get it just right.

The precision these adjustments offer is more than enough when shooting indoors or outdoors. Just twist the knobs and it adjusts smoothly. There was a time though when I had to put some bike lube on it since I haven’t used it for awhile.

The macro adjustment is easy to do vertically but, the horizontal macro adjustment would require you to twist the sight pin. It works but, I wish there was a faster way to do it.

In addition, I find the included sight pin too small so I had to use another one from a different brand. Other than that, everything is good. It gets the job done.

What I do not like

Let’s keep it real and talk about what I’m not a huge fan of. After every shot, I noticed a little quirk with the sight pin. It tends to rotate down slightly due to vibrations.

It’s not a massive issue, but it can be a tad irritating. Especially when you’re trying to maintain your focus and quickly line up your next shot, this slight rotation can throw you off a bit. It’s a small hiccup in an otherwise well-designed sight.

Geologic Club 900 Recurve Sight Review: Final Thoughts

The Geologic Club 900 Archery Bow Sight is a fantastic option for archers who are serious about honing their aim. The adjustable features, compatibility with different bows, and the fact that it caters to both left-handers and right-handers make it a versatile companion for your archery journey.

The micro-metric adjustments truly elevate its performance and give you an advantage when precision matters most. Though the minor sight pin rotation issue could use some attention.

Overall, the Club 900 is a tool that can help you up your archery game and get those satisfying bullseyes. Happy shooting, and may your arrows always find their mark!
